Brian's Soul - Wrong Crowd

What It Sound Like?

Long ago, in a time when I wasn't anti-industry. I had yet to be jaded by mistreating from gatekeepers. I was wide eyed and seeking a major record deal. Compatible emcees weren't at the disposal you see today.  Finding producers with the samples was a journey.

I was unaware how close I was to Wrong Crowd. A rap crew lead by a duo that was also wide eyed and hungry for a piece of the pie. They were far ahead of me in accomplishments. Close relationship with Duck Down, as well as so many emcees, and respected writers for The Source

We'd eventually meet through a mutual friend. @Nyceflix, a producer expanded to film, who also deserves an article. He had the samples, we had the rhymes.Wrong Crowd was shaking up the ground from The Bronx, back and forth to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. These cats were wrestling aficionados long before the bubble. Also known for themes of gaming, and comics. They were ahead of the vlog curve with famous rappers at the crib doing interviews.

I've had the pleasure rhyming with @Tegano and @DeFame several occasions, always great vibes. These guys were inspirational, at the same time, someone you could reach out to. Nearly a decade ago, I read a detailed post from Tegano. What I left out  up to this point ,was the life issues. For years he would grind to raise two sons in two states. Even, dealing with a major operation for one of them. That's some of the things that were going on. In his post he mentioned the effort he gave Hip Hop, as well as disappointment in  the direction it was heading.

Unfortunately, he ended it announcing his retirement from rap. There were major artist who retired and it didn't affect me the same. I understood, but I couldn't stand it. There was still some hope, DeFame continued his music career. He constantly slayed original and industry beats, carrying the name. Over time, I never pressured Tegano to to do another song. Fast forward to Summer 2019, Wrong Crowd reunites for a new single.

I know I'm not the only one thrilled to see it. DeFame directed the digital bridge to reality. The set is a real collection of rare merch from classic comic books and video games. Often the cadences you'll find in their lyrics. I'm gonna ask DeFame to do some graphics for me. They rhymed over a cosmic funk Brian Bennett piece.

The artists are having fun with this song. We need to remember to have fun doing this. By the way, there's an Easter egg here linked to a special tattoo in the vid. Keep your eyes open. View the adaptation, leave your comments. Thank you for staying up with me. Bless all of you from the Most High!

Heat - Cocareef x Robert Denir0

What It Sound Like?

To document what's going on in this circuit would take more than one piece. Tonight's post visits one the soundtracks to the series it would consist of. This LP is a most awaited in 2019. That's accredited to a relentless marketing strategy, along with a roster that has yet to be on the same project.

@Coccareef masterminded this assembly while digging through a pack of @Robert Denir0 tracks. It starts out aggressive with the first two songs having consistent verses from
@The Lupus Dei Experience, as well as, @Killy Shoot of Home Team. Plus, @Lord Juco
@Eddie Kaine, active emcees we enjoy popping up on the scene, an introduction to Nucleus, and a return from Frank Docket.

The next song gets darker, the pain is brought by @Whata Mess, @the deity, V and myself. The direction Reef is aiming crosshairs at is phony rappers. Currently, a hit single in rotation, is inked by
@The Real Skitso, Lupus Dei, and @Krazy The Real One. A few pre-order joints received early traction.

The following tune has a reappearance from @Ambishouz, and homecoming of @LuGhz for that incomparable result! The lovely legacy to Cocareef Records also pops up with the boys on another heater. King Lup and Ill Kill chose the ideal beat or did it choose them? Either way, I dig the outcome.

Cocareef plays the back throughout most of the album. He hops on slaying another verse with @DNTE of Falconcrest, and The Midaz Beast. You see where this is going! Temperature is rising, things get crazier. Tag team action from @Pro Zay and @Certain Ones giving you hardcore Boombap.

Now, we get to one of the first joints released this year. A true anthem featuring @Jamil Honesty, Micah Write, @Sedizzy, Lupus Dei, Whata Mess, and Ambishouz. One of the underground diplomats, @Enox shows up ready for the solo job.

We get one more from LuGhz who locks in with Sedizzy. One of my favorite lines is on this joint.
"I was raised by OG's you was raised by IG."
The two go back and forth. It's a gully tune, the vibe enhances your THC.
Our film closes with the star, on the low. The Lupus Dei Experience end it strong over the ruff bass line.

Heat merges the attack of different angle these styles. I've been riding with Rob Deniro since I heard his tracks. Likewise for Reef, and they keep it genuine. Being an artist on the project, I heard some of the beats before everything got recorded. I like the way it turned out. All of the pre-orders, radio spins,  plus merch has been doing well. Slide to Bandcamp, get your copy! Thank you in advance. Biggups to Cocareef for another great day at the shooting range. Blessings from the Almighty!

Intro - Steiner Brothers (Snotty & Pro Dillinger)

What It Sound Like?

I know I'm not the only one pressed for time. I think most of our readers fins these articles convenient in their busy schedules. Busy, is a good thing! Rather have a lot to do than nothing. one of the keys to stay afloat is to be persistent.

That's a characteristic I notice in Snotty, he puts it in his music. A hard work ethic, plus he touches base in different towns. He came through with the slum beat from @Mickey Diamond. You know it's gonna be grimey when you hear slow tempo harmonics.  He keeps it to the point, a verse a piece from him and @Umbrella partner, @Pro Dillinger. Another edgy emcee, no fluff.

I like the fact, I haven't heard anything soft from Snotty. He keeps it masculine at a time
Hip Hop is under attack. He's got the street sound, meanwhile mixing clever lines to solidify the flow. I also dig the force Dillinger brought to the track. This is that fuel.

This is single is from their EP titled, Steiner Brothers. A project fully produced by
Mickey Diamond. Get your view at YouTube. Thank you for your support. Blessings from the Almighty!

Hot Gun On The Waist - Falcon Outlaw x Camoflauge Monk

What It Sound Like?

I'm one that still enjoys a vivid description, despite having all the visual outlets. Sometimes a good story is just as fulfilling. Earlier in the year, my friend told me about his stay in LA. Skid Row would pop up regular in conversation. The situations and the setting is enough material for the next crime drama to go viral.

Presently, video of this notorious zone is provided by @Falcon Outlaw, one half of @Falconcrest
The grim area filtered in black & white is the ideal look for the narrative. Dark Black has the eye for scenery to match. They capture Outlaw with producer @Camoflauge Monk in the mixing with the locals. Of course, I dig the tagging in the background.

This track is heavy, plus it's got scratches. The emcee touches the topic of the outcome in gun play. A theatrical treatment level, to say the least. However, the content is about the reality involved. These graphic details don't fall on deaf ears when the source is relatable.

Falcon incorporates up to date marketing with a retro style of message. I like how he spreads knowledge instead of glorifying violence. The tune is tuff and the video throttles an urge for more. Pull up the link. Everything is still great with the group, Falconcrest, don't fret. You're still gonna want to catch this mini, solo run from the beginning. Big thanks to all of the people staying up with me. Blessings from the Almighty!

Stay On Ya Deen - Jamal Gasol

What It Sound Like?

Summer time is still upon us. Gotta hold on to it, since some kids are headed back to school earlier this year. Tonight's video has that summer feel to it. This setting takes place in Brooklyn, you know NYC knows how to give it up for the seasons.

Our boy, @Jamal Gasol advises the listeners to keep the faith. He treks downstate to link up with producer, @Quis Star. They've got fly reels filmed by @Studio 2099. Gasol spits the guidelines he stuck to, which got him to this point.

Though the artist uses a religious reference, it's not your typical song of worship. More of a street gospel. Quis Star beat work provides that healing relaxation. Take notes, whatever your grind is. I always find this type of music as fuel.

Notice  cameos from Camoflauge,  @Sauce Heist and offspring. Some cool artwork from
501 See Streets give that family vibe. This vid is one watch, at least a few times when you first get to it. Pop out to YouTube and leave your reaction in the comment. After this, you want to check out that
No Pain Without Joy 3. Thank you for following along with the journey. Almighty blessings to all our fans!

No No No - Eddie Kaine X Wavy Da Ghawd

What It Sound Like?

After a stand out feature appearance, I had to do a follow up on this artist. The streets is talking, a term hat's constant in multi generations. Its not solely the music, the character is included. In most cases, a rep in the streets equals viral views. Then, the bars get put on the back burner.

This Brooklyn based emcee, @Eddie Kaine proves to do more than live off his authenticity. I have to mention how impressive he is with the pen. This guy is not hitting you in the head with the same sound or lines. I didn't find him to be repetitive. Though, his music is edgy, you won't find Kaine limiting himself to clever gangsta lines.

It was, No No No where Eddie  is letting lyrics disperse. "Wish Dr. Sebi was alive, I'm so sick."
Another one I dig,
"They end up getting overlapped like a beating."
And did you hear what he did with the video, wordplay sequence?
If not, you need to.

That banger was produced by @Wavy Da Ghawd. No artificial energy boosters, straight soul music. His tracks are ever expanding. The two have a few joints together on the Aruku album, by Eddie Kaine. Our readers will love it. It's got the rhymes we like, with some familiar producers, as well. Listen to number ten at YouTube.  Pick your copy up at Bandcamp. Thanks for staying up with me. May the Almighty keep blessing you!

Young CEO - K. Burns X Ralphiie Reese

What It Sound Like?

There is truly an art to success, an art to connecting with your crowd. Sure you could do web searches for tips, results will vary. In this community, no blueprint or instruction manuals included. Hard to tell, by the way our next topic has been moving.

@K. Burns is a favorite of mine with music, and business.  Rhymes are realistic, a pro at networking, while remaining down to Earth. He's giving us more evidence to why you should be a Team Fame fan. It's explained over the melodies of @Ralphiie Reese of The Dart Unit! Warned you about the extensive networking.

This EP is a soundtrack to a therapeutic ride. Just enough time to release from mental binds. The content is relative like goals, as well as interest of myself. Plus, these beats are the type I could go for.  Smooth selection of vocal samples and strings. Wherever you are, Clinton Hill is painted on your brain. Burns has his own lane, not to be placed in any box. By nature, he has the grit. so, he never overcompensates on records.

This is a piece that makes you want more, which is a good thing. Here's the type of ingredients found in the mix.
"Am I the only one that's out for legacy? I'm speaking equity"

I don't know if they're could of been a better title for the song and project, Young CEO. Those are words spoken like one. These two individuals represent a generation of young CEO's, as well. The music is motivational, the fruits of labor are visual. Movie buffs are in for a treat. One of the songs has a well positioned excerpt from the move Fresh. I felt that was a good comparison to our subject, tonight. Someone who showed beyond normal signs, early.

For the Unkle Burnie special, had to bring the shatter out. An EP of four tunes you could feel. The digital version is up at Bandcamp. You could also pick up your limited edition CDs at Big Cartel. Gotta respect the ethic. Thanks for all the feedback, it's always appreciated. Praises to the Almighty!

Nobody Cares - Iron Lungz X Why Tea X A1

What It Sound Like?

I've been having some convos about producers in the unit. The skills they possess, the necessity of more recognition. Though, we feel this one is talented, his quality deserves more appreciation. @BHMG has a flip master at home base.

@A1 has an ear for the classics, and the fingers to dig, then make something happen. He's linked up with his colleague, @Iron Lungz for more Black Hand heat. The chemistry has been proven previously. Now, they capitalize on that bond over great music.

Iron invited a guest for the gathering. The poetic vibe from @Why Tea is a dope catalyst to the more aggressive delivery of Lungz. Both land with precision getting the job done.
The two represent San Diego, CA while Why Tea puts on for his team, THC.

I'm feeling this tune, there's five more on the Super Nova to go with it on the project by I L and A1. Pop out to Bandcamp to get your digi or physical copy. Big thanks to everyone helping to keep things moving for all of us artists out here. Nothing but the Almighty blessings to you!

Kansas City Smackman - Jamal Gasol X JLVSN

What It Sound Like?

To keep things sizzling, we have a special feature. We could smell an album cooking near by. Resuming with the urban classic themes, this piece has an inspiration from the film, South Central. To the newly arrived, this is a niche for tonight's subject.

@Jamal Gasol has become a household name in the independent rap world. Doing so with frequent releases. To hold fans over, we've been presented with this mini. Full soft and soulful production pack from @JLVSN. The tales of the ghetto narrated from Gasol perspective.

The graphic detail second nature for Jamal. He's not shy to share episodes from the past life of crime. The reality rap is evident.
"Bring a quarter pound you get a feature"
One of my favorite lines on KCS. Street savvy, clever... Some words to describe the artist.

Your favorite YouTubers have this project posted. Word's been getting around. Normally, I'd send you to Bandcamp for a Mr 31 release, this one you can find at all major digital music stores. Take a listen, hen pick up your copy. Thank you for your consistent support. Almighty blessings!
