Executive Decision - Bless The General & Sam Da Grouch

What It Sound Like?

It's been a while, pardon my absence. When it comes to art, I am most transparent. Some of you are aware of me being in the hospital a few weeks back. Thanks for words of encouragement, as well as the prayers.  It's news to others. Before I went it, I had a few write-ups lined up.

One of those is a project from Bless The General. He put together an impressive body of work along with dedicated producer, Sam Da Grouch. Of course the opening joint gets my attention.
One In The Chamber demands respect. The way we were groomed to start an album.
Me, Myself, and I defines the type of grind he puts forth. He really does a lot on his own. Besides this flammable track he spits on, Bless handled the rest. I'm sure he mixed and mastered thee tune.

Connect the Dots changes pace a bit. Has more of web radio sound. I like some of the harder sounding songs more. Though, I respect the versatility. He brings something for those checking for the spittas with Menace. Kept it slick and simple.

The artist gives his perspective of the current music situation in Net Talk. From the vultures to the made up identities, they're all on blast. Paper Chase, if you couldn't tell by the title, it's a motivator. You get it from a guy who's very familiar with multiple income sources. No Rules touches on something I find myself in conversation about often. He intentionally neglects a traditional hook. More revealing of the free will format people use now.

BTG lets you panel in on his life influences to rap. It was a transition from Brooklyn to Connecticut. Through his learning experiences between locations, the pen was the consistency to look forward to. Coming of Age is revealing content that invites the fans for the up close and personal. The scratch, plus battle bars keep that true Hip Hop essence going through Salute Me.

Gotta admire the approach with the bonus tracks. Traffik at 5 hosts the sole feature on this entire project. JusMula stops through with a moving verse for that rush hour. Listeners should dig this switch in flow from Bless. After listening to this album, I hear a veteran emcee that's still hungry.
At this time, its available in all your favorite major platforms. Show your support. Big thanks to everybody still rockin with ya boy. I look to be active again, soon. Praises to the Almighty!

Jamal Gasol- TRENCHES (Prod. MichaelAngelo)

What It Sound Like?

I don't know what hit me. Something had me out of commission, nearly two weeks. Feel like I'm getting over it, thank God.The show must continue. We're starting the weekend early tonight.

I'd say, it's been a big year for Jamal Gasol, his foot is still on the pedal. Up to the street themed craft, Mr 31 drops off a short video from the album, CrackHouse USA. The superb networking lands the lenses of GeneralGomez. They capture crystal clear cinema of natives and landmarks of the Dirty Waters.

The artists spits savvy to the MichaelAngelo production. Slow paced track, as the drama builds. Giving Jamal all the room to talk his talk. As he does best. He's done a great job at putting his town on the map.

All the Piff Empire heads know what time it is. Gasol sticks to his guns, so be sure to check this vid out. Oh, look at the new toy, also. Keep supporting by heading to Bandcamp for the whole project. Big thanks to the day ones, and the new faces for sticking around. Almighty blessing spread!

K.Burns - Neighborhood Heroe's Feat.Dough Montana (Prod Ecto-84)

What It Sound Like?

The new year is lurking up on us. The current year is content filled, with more to go. I've had many of the influencers provide core content. Outside looking in, some artists make it look easy.

Life has thrown the same obstacles at K.Burns that we share. It's how you respond, that matters. Entrepreneurship, what better counter to life's hits?
Tonight, he's got the audio fuel for the paper chase. I believe Burns and Dough Montana were working on this during a live a few months back. It's got that new familiar sound.

These emcees are sharp, along with Ecto-84, the ideal catalyst. He brought that funk, this sample is instant trip to Coolie High era. I feel the distinct differences in voice tones  connect on common ground. They feed off each other's energy. Each perspective pin points the motive.

I certainly rock with this vibe! First single off the latest drop, Mob Ties. I was fortunate to hear a preview of this piece. Fans will want to add it to their collection.
