Flex Kavana - Scorcese Shells X Vic Spencer X Jason Griff

What It Sound Like?

It's time to get gritty. I'm not waiting to put this line in, "Treat beef like delicatessens." Yeadon, PA got bars for the All Nighters. Can't forget, beat selection. Allow me to introduce @Scorcese Shells. Many of you are already familiar, his singles have been buzzing through the circuit.

Makes sense to me, this is a colorful character. His references are decorated broadly. We're in a time where artists are particular when it to comes to features. He's gained the respect of @Vic Spencer, who also came to rap. An unexpected pair, yet so necessary. It's that beat the mic up flow that each emcee possess. I always appreciate when rappers spit hard bars without repetitive lines shooting everybody. They stand out as individuals while remaining compatible.

This metal sharpening track is one part of the project fully produced by @Jason Griff. They locked in to complete Dream Team: A Stokley Hathaway Joint. You could catch more WWE themed cadences like Flex Kavana with the energy to go with it.

I feel his angle could get him connections beyond expectation. He's tapping into the underground Rap world with a select crowd from the wrestling universe. Pull this link up, listen, and follow. Thanks to all the supporters out there. Jah bless!

Section - Che' Noir X Klass Murda X 38 Spesh

What It Sound Like?

This video lives out a common bond for our artists. To reflect on the struggle from a better position of the present. To paint street art with the wounds of the ghetto is such a gift. Sure, we could hustle on beats all day. It takes nothing to do what's trendy. @Che' Noir is different, she approaches highlights of the grind without glorifying it.

@Klass Murda lights the stove with his hook of motivation. Getting Mom's out the hood is the motive.  Che' cooks up over 70 bars in this spicy verse. She kicks wisdom with a mic full of blood stains. This track by @38 Spesh continues to show his expansion. Each production differs from the other. Emcees have to be flooding him with requests for beats.

@D. Gomez Films gathered footage from Buffalo and Rochester with live action from the locals. Abandoned buildings are a constant reminder of what these artists rose from. Each have better situations to show their families the environments they deserve.

Drop your comment at YouTube, spread the word. Now, go get The Trust Tape 3. The whole roster stay working. Big thanks to all the readers for your support. Blessings from the Most High!

Foreign Bag (Video) - Jamal Gasol X The Prxspect

What It Sound Like?

Not long ago, we heard the single, then we saw a cinematic snippet, now we have a short film. In a matter off one verse, @Jamal Gasol arranges the big pay back. His character senses someone he is doing business with tried to zo him. It's obviously been a long time since the loan was made. To make matters worse, the betrayer, played by @MyLuckyLife spends money on chics. Nothing upsets a lender more than you blowing what should be their capital.

A small world when the lady paying Luck a visit was sent by Mr 31. I can't get too deep into details, just know revenge is sweet. I like the Upstate All Star connection. The background playing Pay Attention is a nice plug for Go Green Luck.

A successful reunion with @NBUTV, I feel like we'll see more. A suspenseful score by The Prxspect adds to the dramatic tension. Gasol has always brought theatrics to his videos from his earliest shoots. I'm ready to watch it again. Check it out at YouTube. Leave your reaction in the comments. Thank you to all our supporters. May the Lord keep blessing you!

Double Feature: Wordsworth

Live On Air

What It Sound Like?

According to Google babies (millennials) I'm a old nigga. Man listen, it feel so good to be one. I'm so fortunate, otherwise I probably wouldn't get the head nods I get. I wouldn't have any knowledge of this gift I speak on. It's so easy to not read an Inbox, or read it and not respond. So, when I get responses from  legends, it further confirms my vision.

The Brooklyn native, @Wordsworth is none short of the description. One of the pioneers of underground Hip Hop breaking the surface. He been nice, and still would slaughter rappers today. This emcee was a part of Lyricist Lounge before it became a hit show on MTV. Just for heads that might be new, Lyricist Lounge was where the dopest artists would rock. Smif-N-Wessun, Mos Def (Yasiin Bey), Biggie Smalls, and Eminem are a few names. I wish I had footage of it. It was there, Wordsworth and other would perform live, songs, poetry, skits, plus freestyle ciphers.

Long from eMC days with other notables @Masta Ace@Stricklin, and @Punchline. We're hit with two hot coals from Wordsworth tonight. Live On Air is a breathe of fresh air. Once it starts, you know it's a keeper! Soulful sample slappin with power by @Quincey Tones
Guest appearance tags in from another underground market mover, @Rasheed Chappell. He had me at "Aqueduct  flows" as he opens the hook. Clever boxing reference in there, hope you're listening. The artists do a lot in these verses. Syllables, back to back rhymes, picture painting, remaining entertaining to say the least.
Words details realism dealing with the family dramas, and corporate pressures. As tangible as the body of the verse stands, he closes making a cadence to science fiction. I found that interesting how he used contrast to describe his feelings. I want to know the opinion of the audience.
Listen to Live On Air.

Velvedda - Big V Skyzone X 1Chedda

What It Sound Like?

One thing very hard for me to overlook, a multi tasking emcee. Creative merchandise along with the some of the most stylish presentations is a common denominator at RAN. You have to admire the clothing / digital print work from our returning artist, @bigvskyzone

I'm not the one to celebrate holidays that a lot of people are custom to. However, this one is not a corporate hoax. It's more of a gathering. So, let's spark up some of the festivities. Interesting how the first tune, Made defines the independent artist. Staying dedicated while others tap out. Including the  benefits of the long grind. The nonchalant, @millymcJaggurr joins him on this @1chedda banger, who produced the complete project.

Big V knows his history, showing love to the Cleveland rap legends with
Skyzone Thugz -N-Harmony. It's a straight smoker's theme featuring a sampled chord from
Bizzy Bone. This melodic track is complimented by a cameo from @dasavagesoul. This is Hip Hop homage, plus personality. I'm feeling the raw beat making from scratch. The next joint, Groundbreaking carries gritty energy. The unapologetic content is parallel with @dakidgeda. The lyrics are all reality, not clite.  V also displays the hustler format set for the family. Gems for the household could never get repetitive.

Check the lyrical exercise in Jigxaw Meets Hannibal. One of my favorite lines,
"I used sell O's now I just smoke em."
You're in for some ill name, wordplay following a grimy verse from @awax336. He also has a spot on Just Keep It Playa. They express a motto we lived by in the 90's, something these young heads could benefit from. Honestly, some older cats also forgot their way, as well. So, just tell the truth to your companion. Things go much easier.

The back and forth flow on Hamstring caught me on the blindside. That's one of the best ways to bond on the track. Skyzone links with Milly McJaggurr, once again to throw some game. I'm not giving nothing away, our fan base is intelligent. Besides, the vocal sample should tell you what the metaphor is about. When you hear Skyzone linen, that box Chevy vibe can't be ignored. All 420 participants know how important it is to have the sounds when you're riding. He trades hard verses with
A-W.A.X. The God King, yet that bass must be mentioned! Something about it becomes a catalyst to the toker.

We're delivered some spoken word from @countesssp on the shortie, Be Like Water. I respect her element, as a piece of this album while she breaks down our most dynamic element.

You ever got advice, or a heads up that you didn't want to accept? That's what Womans Intuition hammers to the point. It's so simple to say, that won't happen to me, he/she's not like that, I got this. All things we say during the quiet before the storm. In the artist's case, the ones he thought was in his corner gave him their back. It happens on the reg, I'm just glad he's the one on the success side.

Load this up in your MP3 player, load up a SPLIFF:30 on a Skyzone rolling tray, listen to this directly at his home site. Take a look at his merch while your there. Let me know what strand you on? Thanks to everybody supporting in every way you can. May the Most High continue to bless you!

Krazy The Real One - Letter To God

What It Sound Like?

It is totally the year of the hustler. Might jut happen to be the era! We know great minds think alike and fools never differ. I've been linking with a lot of great minds, one is a brother of a RAN favorite. Tonight you'll hear about @Krazy The Real One. He's a product of Jersey City & East Orange, but he lives all over. From Marion, to Shepard Ave, to the Hill. A graduate of Snyder, followed by fourteen years in the Navy. After all that, he'd still be falsely accused of crime by the country he served Let alone, four attacks by police. What else is one to do when filing petitions, questioning senators and the president don't help Krazy The Real One find the right answers?

An interesting story, his hometown may sound familiar to you, he's also younger
brother to @Cocareef. No wonder why he's such a hustler, as well.
A style all of his own, he brings vibrant vocals with deep content. Honesty is his best policy, he does an amazing job in Letter To God exposing his vices. It begins with Krazy talking to his daughter, Diamond before he details the chronology. Hard to tell your child you cheated on or with their mom. This touching chorus introduces Mimi, daughter of our emcee.  All the lyrics are intimate, a window to his heart and soul. Including a window to his direct conversation with the Almighty.

Words Of Wisdom remains in family convo mode. He speaks candidly about his brother and mother. His young bro, Rube has gifts that big bro wants to encourage him to use. He stands out in sports, kills the mic, and wise beyond his years. Instead of focusing on anything bad, Krazy shines light on the positives. This hook is pure Hip Hop. He tells Qued Productions, the producer of the first two joints, he don't have a formal verse. Artists gotta vent, sometimes.

Free gets further into the artist's most painful moments. Extremely painful, a lot of people went through the negatives he talks about overcoming. These topics are not mentioned by others in this underground circuit. He tells his story in one big verse, saving the chorus till closing of the song. After all he revealed, Krazy chose a different path, then received meaning of the title is much more solidified.

Planet X features the only other rappers, D Money Da Goon, plus Rube The Difference. Yup, his younger brother, Rube. This describes the generational curse repeated on a regular basis. The absence of a grounded father sends sons down the wrong path. The son in the tune ignored his father's letters from prison. That resulted to stick ups, along with reliving the same path as his dad. These sentimental piano keys are a catalyst for the tear jerking.

Wake up, the last tune speaks for the struggle as a whole. Not just the hood, it extends to medical, plus corporate industries. The artist wants us to make the right decisions, and not just say we are woke. Don't stay stuck in this system geared by birth, medical, and funeral costs.
We get some ghetto gospel  in this track, all bars of pain. Dropping jewels about the presidential links to Hollywood. This one is all warrior spirit, concluded with skin crawling dialogue from unforgettable, Dick Gregory.

The listener should recognize knowledge is key, wisdom is given by God, and love is spread.
A project I recommend. The lyrics are deep, without going over the head. Got some more fun facts. This is not just an emcee. Krazy enrolled in his Masters program, he's a project manager, leader, and most importantly, a God fearing man.100% faith over fear. He's a brother in Yashua, which shines through his work. Krazy is the people's rapper. He's gonna speak for those who are too hesitant to say what they think. Pick up your copy at a digital music store.

Get your copy of this project free at SoundCloud. Make sure you stay up on his forthcoming projects, as well. Special shouts from the man himself. Papi, Danny, and of course, Queen Maria Gaines, aka Titi. Another known alias, Bandana Girl, current Sankt Gutmann president. Peace to all our fans, Jah bless!

Mark My Words (Stan Da Man Remix) - Nipsey Hussle X Rick Ross

What It Sound Like?

What It Sound Like?
My direction may drift throughout this. I was put on to this remix by @Stan Da Man. Give him credit for the above and beyond job he does as a producer. As you can hear @Nipsey Hussle vocals spittin life over the break. It reminds me of the first time I heard him.

DJ Nitron International, a producer-friend of mine made a remix of Hussle In The House, must of been when Nip first started branching out to other states. Years later, another friend, DOD Jay played a tune that also had @Rick Ross, plus @Stalley. All bodied verses. My radar was up! Crenshaw and Mailbox Money got me through a labor pool job. Getting little money, at all. His music still motivates me, today. No Pressure helped me ride in the car with millennials.

Hearing someone living out things certain friends, and I were working on, he was living. Goals I mapped out, he achieved them, then shared it with who would listen. I was so happy to hear a nice emcee covering finance, legally. He always kept Africa relevant, always kept his team, community, and family relevant.
Many look down on gang members. I didn't come up in his hood, I don't judge that. I saw someone rise from that lifestyle, as well as encourage other members to live a positive life. He even brought rival gangs together because they saw his vision.

In my heart, Neighborhood Nipsey got album of the year with Victory Lap. I saw him as righteous, may his life be celebrated. I'm thankful for witnessing accomplishments. Take a listen to what Stan Da Man whipped up with. Someone else I have much respect for. Thank the readers for staying up with me. Blessings from the Almighty!

Champagne For Everybody - Ali Vegas X Ty Fyffe

What It Sound Like?

This is an honor! The level of respect  from some of the most admirable recording artists RAN gets is priceless. I usually drop tunes from underground artists that are uncharted or on the rise. This emcee already succeeded that before all these platforms were available. One of the few to set an early blueprint on breaking through the surface. @Ali Vegas has rung bells since the early 2000's .

I remember getting mixtapes from Jamaica Ave when I first heard the Prince. Fellow Queens emcee 50 Cent ciphered with him on a classic over a Nature track. The Boro was in the building that day with @DJ Stretch Armstrong . That's a DJ you better know about!  This was a small dose compared to the amount of impacting stars Ali would go on to work with. After parting ways with former label, Trackmasters he stayed on his grind.  He would continue to light up mixtapes, plus land verses on Golden Era albums. Vegas didn't limit himself to rapping, consulting for celebs you know became a regular thing for him.

There are enough stories and name drops to write a book series, but I wan't to get into this heat produced by @Ty Fyffe.  Don't be fooled by the jazzy instrumental, these lines are not your typical toast. He's over the comparisons, along with deal setbacks. Here to claim what's his. The only thing separating his career from bigger names was companies that tried to hold him back. Lyrically, he let's you know he's just as nice. Some cases, nicer and he's willing to prove it. "If Nas is Nasty then I'm Despicable, if Jay is God them I'm invincible."Proceeds to go through others that are held in high regard.
I also like how he points out society's stigmas with Jordan / Lebron talk, plus how media does everything in their power not to give Floyd Mayweather Jr his just do. I actually watched an interview where an ESPN anchorman admitted if he was white, he would be getting more praises from media. Ali Vegas is talented, intelligent, and has been mistreated by certain industry entities in a similar way. Despite any roadblocks, the entrepreneur still achieved success without a labels help.

He deserves all the celebration, however the "For Everybody" part could be taking as a double meaning. Anybody can get it. At the same time, willing to share wealth with the real ones in his corner. This industry is not guaranteed, so it's encouraging to see this brother still doing well nearly two decades later. In his own words, "Winners don't forget how to win." Listen to this smoker, make sure to follow for future joints. Thank you to every reader showing love. Blessings from the Almighty!

Adult Swim (Video) - Jamal Gasol X WON87

What It Sound Like?
Peace everybody! It's hard to explain this feeling, I just don't want it to go away. Heads are making it out or through the struggle doing what they were blessed to do. As result, we get feel-good music in return. No delay, I had to bring back a great producer with one of the memorable albums this year. @WON87 brought us some heat with the Robert Deniro co-op, Mean Streets. Our homie is back with one of the coolest tracks. This was so clever.
The Loop Killer sampled this theme from one of the Cartoon Network hit segments. The way he built the beat around it is complete. It's smooth, simple, and got the right drum pattern for that neck rock. Feeding your Hip Hop taste buds further, he linked up with the Upstate All-Star, @Jamal Gasol for this one. You know how he give it up!
Unfortunately, underachievers don't feel the same way he does. So, Mr 31 addresses those looking for his misfortune. Here at RAN, we ride for our own. So, we just gonna make them more mad with these posts. Feel me? Gasol Proceeds to spit that Piff, capitalizing off his run-ins. We all could relate, there is always a hater lurking when someone's intention is good.
Enjoy this loosey for free at Soundcloud. Follow if you haven't already, share with your people. Thanks for everyone's support, more artists on the way. Nothing but blessing for our readers from the Most High!

                                                        That Was A Reminder

Now we get to show you the visual update to Adult Swim. A surreal start with a drop from The Honorable, Nipsey Hussle to the director, Kali Oso. I think you understand what level of videography we're talking. The setting takes place in San Diego, where you could find WON87. The imagery of the lyrics are brought to life.

From a cross country flight to cruising the strip in a new Alfa Romeo. The real thing to do is share your blessings with your loved ones. As you can see, @John Creasy was along for the trip, also. Gasol never misses an opportunity. They had a performance and managed to shoot a vid, the hustle keeps going.

The night scenery captured life like shots, seeming natural. My favorite cut is the alley way. The angle and isolation puts things in focus. True remnant to videos we grew up on. If you haven't seen it yet, you're snoozing. Get to it and subscribe. Thank everybody for the positivity. Blessings from the Almighty!

Monster - Lucid Dreams X Sofoke Beats

What It Sound Like?

The underground is deep! I'm realizing I had no clue there was so many talented independent artists out here. Is it warming up in Connecticut, yet? If not, this new heat should work. Waterbury has a diverse emcee by the name of @Lucid Dreams. This is not our textbook piece with a Boom-bap track. It's actually more of a bass and 808's foundation by @Sofoke Beats

It hits with a lot of pressure, so does Lucid. He's a speedster on the mic. Though his flow is fast, he is very understandable. His delivery is precise. You'll catch the patterns switching up, staying on beat. Lucid has bars! All his lyrics are defending Hip Hop, too. It's almost like he's baiting the new generation rappers with a familiar style, so he could slaughter them when they're close and comfy. Monster is is hard. At the same time, he's got allegories for the rap geeks, as well.

LD is an artist that has a dope attack on corruption. His disappointment is not limited to the music industry, but the system that empowers it. One of my favorite lines, "Remain original despite a movement." You know how many people can't make a decision without a crowd's influence? You're in for pure lyricism. A tune you could play over and keep catching lines. I miss that feeling from the core source of rap. I will let you break them down yourself. Get your copy from your favorite digital music store! Thank you for staying up with me, again. Blessings from Yahweh!

The GlamBoss Pop Up: Ali Beauty Supply

What It Sound Like?

Though, this is not necessarily about music, it still involves rhythm. We're mixing it up with beauty &  fashion tonight. As part of our Artist Appreciation Week theme. I want to focus on
@The Siobhan Nicole, and her recently hosted event at @Ali Beauty Supply. I've worked side by side with The GlamBoss in the music end of the entertainment world. However, this kind of establishment is her domain. Some more of the @Coruscation House was in the arena.
@locqueenv  & Miss @Fantasy Photography were a big hand making sure everything went smoothly.

It was my first time at a hair stylist, pop up shop. So, it was cool to see The GlamBoss live in action. It was like she helped organize the store, the way she directed inquiring clients. In the city of West Palm Beach, this is one of the nicest hair suppliers. Clients from different parts of the town were there for quality products. It's been a long time since I sat in a barber's chair, but they had the most up to date tools I've seen in years. Actually there were some new barber kits I've never seen. Men, women, and the kids all can find something for their hair.

The GlamBoss is special with addressing people's needs. There were clients at her booth picking her brain, taking pics, and walking away fulfilled. She introduced me to the store owner, Ray. He's generous and a great businessman. One who knows his clients well. This practice of success brought him multiple locations with all the brands you're looking for. Including names on the rise. Speaking of that, @Hair Ecstasy could also be found on those shelves. A product introduced by @Carib Sales.

I'd recommend Ali Beauty Supply to anyone taking care of their mane. Whatever your hair grade is, they got you, and The GlamBoss will help you look like somebody! I have a lot on my head, so I was able to leave with a few goodies for my wool. Congrats to The GlamBoss on another win. Thank you to Ali Beauty Supply and the Coruscation House for having me. I appreciate your hospitality. Also, thanks to our fans supporting us. Take a look at some of  the action. Jah Bless!

Villainous - Dot Com Intelligence

What It Sound Like?

Let's welcome back one of our newest entries. I wasn't aware that he released two albums in 2018. Now, we cover a a more grim piece by Dot-Com Intelligence. Villainous was kept hometown. All production by infamous Maryland key pusher, Viles. He gets busy with sounds from scratch, as well as soulful samples. DCI gets started holding no punches in
No Absolution. Here's an emcee wearing his heart on his sleeve. He's tired of being the nice guy. Unfortunately, people don't always return that positive energy you give them. No more playing fair. It sort of bleeds into the next track, Fucking Your Investment Up. He really lets the greedy ones have it.

He uses financial market cadences to represent another artist's worth. Dot is bearish on the so called competition. I used to invest in the high risk sector, so it's a real creative concept. The horn sounds funeral music for rivals. Artists don't have the credentials for the claims made. What's there not to like about One Shot Kill. You know you love that title. He continues to target culture vultures. All my Chess players, the artists lets heads know they are in check. Lyrically, he's killing the unwelcome, assuming  it's okay to enter his home of Hip Hop.

The sound boy burial continues with the soft melody of Sierra Madre. The art of story telling expressed vividly. This situation could have resulted in us not hearing about this emcee, today. I'm glad he was clever to think ten steps ahead. It's safe to say, the hero survived this set up. These beats along the way maintain my attention with a lot of strings. It gives off that hood symphony effect. With the dark matter being discussed, the lighter contrast is the balance.

There are a few memories of the name Jack Carter, this tune emulates a classic British gangster flick. You don't have to be a movie buff to know anything Michael Caine puts his efforts to is a smash. This joint has some of my favorite wordplay. Plus, he plugs some OG's. "So I stay Steady B, ice water Cool C."

Metaphors take control in this action, thriller. Well Of Echoes appears as his album or song files. A body of work as he chapters killing wack rappers. A rapper's rap song on Vicious. The piano walks you down a hall to where you want to be. Not such a delightful stroll for the antagonists in the song. The lyrics are animated with a popular fictional character referral. Let's see if you can catch it...

A true hunter appreciates game after a great hunt. Prey describes the verbal torture he applies. Island Moreau explains it all. Though, the artist continues to name horror film noir for explanation. I like when emcees can flip titles . This album was a different shade of DCI. He wanted to step outside his comfort zone and do something different. It speaks for the artist going hard and being over looked. You could hear the aggression from that perspective. Instead of harboring it, we release it the best way we know how. Through the art. Show your support at your favorite music store. Continue to go through his catalog. Thank you for supporting RAN also. Blessings from Yahweh!

Innocent Flow No. 13 - Innocent? X Stan Da Man

What It Sound Like?

This is more than sound, this Hip Hop thing. It's a feeling. We've been blessed with an outlet for whatever disrupts us. When you feel drained, Hip Hop becomes a refresher. That's exactly what's on the list tonight. A taste of  raw, refreshing rhymes and beats of soul for the soul.

Stan Da Man put me on to this Golden Era molded emcee out of East New York. One verse here from Innocent? gets the job done. No, that's not improper grammar, the question mark is part of his name. A crafty way of expressing his opinion on the law system. He's one of the rappers who bring back that edge and authenticity back to the town. With a track like this, those are the only type of bars that fit.

The people can see, we got a strong force keeping rap alive.I know you want to hear more from Innocent? that's why you're gonna listen to 28 Days: Black History Month. It's completely produced by Stan Da Man. Got you taken care of with a free link at SoundCloud. Follow and add to your playlists. More on the way, thank you for staying up with me, Jah Bless!
