Villainous - Dot Com Intelligence

What It Sound Like?

Let's welcome back one of our newest entries. I wasn't aware that he released two albums in 2018. Now, we cover a a more grim piece by Dot-Com Intelligence. Villainous was kept hometown. All production by infamous Maryland key pusher, Viles. He gets busy with sounds from scratch, as well as soulful samples. DCI gets started holding no punches in
No Absolution. Here's an emcee wearing his heart on his sleeve. He's tired of being the nice guy. Unfortunately, people don't always return that positive energy you give them. No more playing fair. It sort of bleeds into the next track, Fucking Your Investment Up. He really lets the greedy ones have it.

He uses financial market cadences to represent another artist's worth. Dot is bearish on the so called competition. I used to invest in the high risk sector, so it's a real creative concept. The horn sounds funeral music for rivals. Artists don't have the credentials for the claims made. What's there not to like about One Shot Kill. You know you love that title. He continues to target culture vultures. All my Chess players, the artists lets heads know they are in check. Lyrically, he's killing the unwelcome, assuming  it's okay to enter his home of Hip Hop.

The sound boy burial continues with the soft melody of Sierra Madre. The art of story telling expressed vividly. This situation could have resulted in us not hearing about this emcee, today. I'm glad he was clever to think ten steps ahead. It's safe to say, the hero survived this set up. These beats along the way maintain my attention with a lot of strings. It gives off that hood symphony effect. With the dark matter being discussed, the lighter contrast is the balance.

There are a few memories of the name Jack Carter, this tune emulates a classic British gangster flick. You don't have to be a movie buff to know anything Michael Caine puts his efforts to is a smash. This joint has some of my favorite wordplay. Plus, he plugs some OG's. "So I stay Steady B, ice water Cool C."

Metaphors take control in this action, thriller. Well Of Echoes appears as his album or song files. A body of work as he chapters killing wack rappers. A rapper's rap song on Vicious. The piano walks you down a hall to where you want to be. Not such a delightful stroll for the antagonists in the song. The lyrics are animated with a popular fictional character referral. Let's see if you can catch it...

A true hunter appreciates game after a great hunt. Prey describes the verbal torture he applies. Island Moreau explains it all. Though, the artist continues to name horror film noir for explanation. I like when emcees can flip titles . This album was a different shade of DCI. He wanted to step outside his comfort zone and do something different. It speaks for the artist going hard and being over looked. You could hear the aggression from that perspective. Instead of harboring it, we release it the best way we know how. Through the art. Show your support at your favorite music store. Continue to go through his catalog. Thank you for supporting RAN also. Blessings from Yahweh!
