What It Sound Like?
If we had a Freshman Of The Year class...
We don't usually see this immediate role of responsibility this early. Let's not forget, one of the first public releases from Mak P was consistently embraced. Everywhere from blogs, concerts producers, DJ's, fans, and emcees included.
Nearly a year passed, Mak has not let off the pedal. Following up with demanded projects. Currently, seizing the Hip Hop opportunity, he drops a mixtape. It totally is a throwback to the days streams didn't exist. Hence the Demo-lition. It's a deep track list, so we gonna handle this one a little different. It will be more of a summary.
P kept it G with scratches, behind the scenes dialogue, along with content filled rhymes. Interesting balance of grittyness with intelligence. The beats are well arranged by @Ecto from South Bend, IN, as well as Missippi producer, @doncarrera. As far as variance, there's something for us all. Samples built around loaded instruments, some tracks have minimal instruments. You will also come across your no-drum loops.
Mak makes a statement that can't be muted with Straight Drop. "Hold on, spin on your block like Hakeem. Wait, 32 ounces I'll put a Magic, Bird on a triple beam"
Honestly, he Walking Deaded the competition on this joint. Bars is never a question, the flow show's layers. Songs like STAINLESSMAK and STREET DEBT reveal directions the artist is capable of.
The project is organically underground. P mostly spits straight through each tune, not many hooks. TFMG fans are gonna be very pleased with the featured roster. Austin rapper, @Wiardon, Bronx heavyweight @Fetty of Bity Boys, the bro @318CHA$e out Ruston LA, of course Brooklyn bred @K. Burns, he's also got @Rim Da Villain and @Con$piracy. Let's call it Team work.
One of the more laid back tunes is KOLD SWEAT. You must feel the controlled aggression. 10,000 hours and PROPER WARNING slow the tempo down, slightly. The energy stays up, though. P elaborates more on a line mentioned earlier in Magic & Bird. Closing with Kratos is a bit self explanatory. He came to rule, you don't want war with Mak!
Roll one up or maybe three. this is a project to right to. You want to hear raw rhymes? Look no further. The artist has made this available at SoundCloud, plus Sun Tzu and Paka got it up on YouTube. Thank you for staying up with me. Blessings from the Almighty!
